Become a Frequent Fairgoer!
The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets (AGM) is excited to announce the NYS Fairs Passport Program! Passports will be available for fairgoers of all ages to collect stamps and buttons and enter to win prizes. The NYS Fairs Passport Program was designed to increase overall fairgoer attendance and to encourage New Yorkers to visit multiple fairs across the State.
What You Get
Use your New York State County Fairs Passport to get unique stamps at each of the over 50 county and local fairs across the state. See how many you can attend! You get the Passport and a lanyard to collect commemorative buttons at each location – for free. Fairgoers of all ages are eligible.
But, That’s Not All
You can also compete for prizes. Each fair will have a scavenger hunt where participants can enter a drawing via the Taste NY promotion #FindMeAtTheFair. Take part in the hunts with an app and earn a code by completing missions to enter to win New York-made prizes.
Explore the dozens of county and local fairs across the state and commemorate each visit as you make your summer memories. Fill up your Passport, build your button collection and have fun by attending as many fairs as you can!

FAQ
Passports (provided by AGM) will be available to the public during fair season. The Passports will be designed for fairgoers to collect unique stamps and buttons from each fair they attend.
- Stamps will have the fair name
- Buttons will feature the fair’s logo
Passport holders will receive a plastic sleeve holder to store their booklet and a lanyard to collect their buttons on. Fairgoers are encouraged to travel to as many fairs as they can to fill up their books.
Are There Prizes?
The complimentary Passport, unique stamps, and buttons are universal prizes. Additionally, in
coordination with the Taste NY Find Me at the Fair promotion, fairgoers can join the scavenger
hunt and enter in unique codes from each fair to enter in a prize drawing. The more fairs a
fairgoer attends, the more times the fairgoer’s name is entered into the drawing, increasing their
chance of winning great New York State made prizes.
How Are The Passports Distributed?
Annual fair passholders will be automatically mailed a Passport, holder, and lanyard in May with
their tickets. Passports will be available to fairgoers at Taste NY Markets across the State,
designated Cornell Cooperative Extension offices, and the New York State Fairgrounds.
How Much Will This Cost?
All costs for this promotion are covered by AGM, including Passports, lanyards, booklet holders,
marketing, advertising, website pages, QR codes, distribution expenses, buttons, and stamps.
What Is The Responsibility Of The Fairs?
Participating fairs are asked to have a dedicated place for Fairgoers to receive their stamps and
buttons. Participating fairs may decide to offer discounts or promotional entry fees for Passport
holders – AGM will collect this information and regularly update a designated landing page on
Agriculture.ny.gov (a QR code linking to the site will be placed on the first pages of the Passport
booklet). Additionally, information for Passport holders on where to collect stamps and buttons
at each fair will be available on the program landing page.
What If Someone Is At The Fair And Wants A Stamp Or Button?
A supplemental Passport Card can be made available at participating Find Me at the Fair selfie
stations for fairgoers who wish to collect a stamp or button from a single fair. AGM will design,
produce, and distribute the Passport Cards. Information on how to get a full Passport will be on
the cards. Fairs who wish to hold a quantity of Passport booklets on-site may do so by
submitting a request directly to AGM.
